ABOUT JAIPUR
CENTRE FOR ART
Located right in the middle of Jaipur city palace, the Jaipur Centre for Art is a new space dedicated to contemporary art. It was started by HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Noelle Kadar. The idea is to celebrate Jaipur’s rich cultural roots while creating space for both Indian and international artists to show new, exciting, and modern work.

PROJECT SUMMARY
The Summer Film Programme 2025, titled Artists’ Cinema / Artist’s Cinema, was a six-week-long event curated by Dr. Shwetal Ashvin Patel, one of the founders of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. It focused on the connection between art and cinema.
The program looked at two kinds of films:

-
Artists’ Cinema: Films made by visual artists, often experimental and shown in galleries.
-
Artist’s Cinema: Films made by filmmakers who treat cinema as a personal and expressive art form.

Dates: June 20 – July 31, 2025

SOLUTIONS

1/4
UNDERSTANDING & OUTREACH
-
We took time to understand the curator’s vision, reached out to filmmakers, artists, and helped bringing partners and collaborators.
CLEAR PLAN
-
We created a detailed screening policy, managed daily film schedule, and made sure all info went out on time.

1/4
PROMOTION
-
We made a powerful video trailer that got over 56,000 views in one day! It was also used on ticketing sites and in PVR theatres to promote the programme.
ON-GROUND SUPPORT
-
We handled the tech setup and made sure everything ran smoothly on site, especially during the crucial early days.
PARTNERSHIPS
-
We managed collaboration agreements and ensured all partners got what was promised.
KEY RESULTS
The program brought a totally new cinematic experience to Jaipur. We screened 150+ films, artists and filmmakers from India and abroad showcased their work, and audiences got a fresh look at thoughtful, artistic films. For 42 days, Jaipur became a cultural hotspot for film lovers, even though the city doesn’t have a strong film culture yet. Our trailer and communication efforts helped create a buzz, and the tech setup ensured people could fully enjoy the films. This event set a strong foundation for more such creative programs in the city.
"Working with FAEM (Bejon and Priyanka) on the Summer Film Programme was seamless and inspiring. They brought clarity, creativity, and commitment to every stage - curating a thoughtful, meaningful line-up, training and supporting our team, managing communication with filmmakers and partners, and sharing valuable insights on social media. Their role went well beyond delivering a brief; they are collaborators who shaped the programme’s success and left a lasting impact on JCA."

CONCLUSION
This project shows what FAEM does best — turning big artistic ideas into real experiences. From planning to execution, we took care of everything. The Summer Film Programme didn’t just mark JCA’s first step into cinema, it also showed how powerful collaboration, creativity, and clear execution can be. We’re proud to have helped make it happen and excited to keep building more such cultural stories.
